Republican Senator John Warner of Virginia has decided not to run again. This sets the stage for the former Democratic Governor Mark Warner ( who flirted with a run for President) to run. Mark Warner ( no relation to the Senator) is very popular and so much so that his popularity and his record of achievement for the people of Virginia played no small role in helping Tim Kaine ( another Democrat) follow him into the Governors office. These are Democrats winning in Virginia and this is a clear sign that the policies of the Republican hard right are no longer effective even in some Red states. These people are finally understanding that taking away a woman’s right to choose, bashing gays and invading the wrong country does not feed their kids or create good paying jobs. Mark Warner is not only the best candidate for this race he will be an excellent addition to the U.S. Senate and I predict one day he will win the Whitehouse.
