What you will see on this site today are the email address of people who have posted to the blog site Connecticut’s Smallest City. We are exposing certain people on the site that we can identify by name and email and IP address. An Ip address is the identifying number that every computer has. This allows you to contact the internet service provider such as a Comcast or ATT and complain about abuse. In some cases posters have used have used multiple computers which means they are using city computers or computers at their job. Both can be traced back to the IP address and the day you are called into your bosses office or the Mayors office will not be a good one for you. We have not posted the email address of every poster. Some may be children or people who are trying to defend themselves against these thugs. Every poster to this site leaves an IP address and as you all know Connecticut’s Smallest City is being sued for $100,000,000 in federal court, so if you posted your IP may end up as part of evidence in that case. That does not mean anything other than embarrassment for you because you did visit a site like Connecticut’s Smallest City. But on the other hand if you have defamed or made comments that constitute a hate crime well you deserve the exposure. Have fun today see you all in the AM.

Well he post as anonymous often then answers himself back as anonymous. He may post as ‘Read these minutes- ugly” OR as Leo P. Moscato Jr but mostly as anonymous to avoid the embarrassment. If he is talking about the Parking Authority he post under his real name. If he attacks you he post under a fake name or anonymous. No matter the name the email address are the same. So much for common sense. If the Mayor wants this coward to represent the government of the city, that proves what we have always said about the Mayor, clueless, out of touch and not the one running the city. Leo should resign.

And just a month ago, this blog loved me. Ah, how times have changed. While I didn’t agree with the vast majority of your positions, you were as helpful and as hurtful as the other blog in the city, so I figured I should get both sides of the story and it would be up to me to separate the wheat from the chaff from each site on my own. I also like how you brought national and international opinions to the table as well.
I’m not sure if anything I said was offensive on that blog. I try not to offend, but sometimes the truth hurts. I stated what I felt was truth based on personal experience. If people got offended, then perhaps they should take a look at themselves. Let me take the opportunity to dissect your baseless accusations of me point-by-point. What you have done is not a critique of my Aldermanic Performance, which you know nothing of, but it is an attack on my personal character and a violation of my privacy. That is unacceptable.
I have stated publicly that John Orazetti was part of the problem from years past and shouldn’t be elected. John knows that I feel this way and we are still amiable whenever we see each other in public. To his credit, John can be a gentleman and understands that people can differ markedly on opinion without becoming hateful of one another. We differ on opinion, but are still civil towards one another. That’s how it should be. I also took issue with him on claiming he had a plan, when I felt it was a reflection of everything Tony had started since John was voted out.
I have also stated that I felt Ms. Weissman shouldn’t have been the Dem candidate bc she was privy to John’s strategy sessions and then bolted to declare her candidacy. I think she should have waited a term out of deference to her access to his campaign. I also declared that Mel Thompson isn’t the right fit for Derby because he, in my opinion, is about revenge and railing back at Dems who he felt ostracized him and the Mayor for some other perceived slight. He’s not about Derby. Everything said about him that didn’t put him in a positive light was greeted by him with a Gregorian chant about lawsuits. People don’t wan’t that kind of venom in their leaders. The fact that any of his missteps were someone else’s fault in his opinion, that shows to me that he didn’t stop the buck; he passed it on. I still stand by those opinions 100%
This is nothing that I haven’t said publicly. I didn’t hold press conferences to declare these views, but anyone who asked my opinion, was well aware of where I stood. Should I be embarrassed by this? I don’t think so.
I am completely aghast at your posting of my personal IP address. Because of the CT’s Smallest City Blog’s tendencies to get some vitriolic people in there, rather than get pulled into shouting matches with the occasionally posting psychopath, many people post anonymously or under screen names to present valid ideas without reprisal from unreasonable people. Screen names are the norm there, so I used the same one every time. Shall you expect me to be embarrassed by following blog format? Again, I’m not.
Let’s get to your post, where you specifically call me a ‘looser’, which must be really bad because it has an extra vowel over the normal ‘loser.’ As for your statements about me calling myself ‘poo,’ that was a Halloween reference to my costume for the party on the Green, which has had that problem in recent years. I am a private citizen and can say what I wish. Even make fun of myself. Others post jokes. Am I your target for simply poitical edge or do you have some personal Vendetta? Either way, your accusations (which are a big stretch) show your character more than they illustrate mine.
If this is the best evidence you have that will defame my character, you are unfortunately out of luck. And I would urge you to stop using the school’s issues to make your point. You are manipulating a sensitive issue regarding child abuse for your own political momentum, and that is downright reprehensible. If nothing else, you should be ashamed of bringing up rape to make yourself feel good.
I know there are problems in the schools. But because of separation of powers, all I could have legally done when I was in office is express opinions and hope the BOE and the system fix the issues. For you to say I’m ignoring school issues to make dog poo jokes is wholly inaccurate at best and a slanderous lie at worst.
And for the record, I wish Derby DID annex parts of Jersey so I can still serve. I love Derby, and if it wasn’t for an opportunity elsewhere, I would continue to serve. And I did do a great job. Please pardon, my small display of ego by saying I did a ‘pretty good’ job. Boy, was I way out of line!!!! I don’t often toot my own horn, but I am thrilled to have been a part of one of the most effective administrations in Derby’s storied history. And I’m proud of the part I played. I also said Dennis should get annexed too, don’t I get a point for that? Not from you. You’re too busy coming up with reasons to hate instead of looking for the truth.
Ask anyone who worked with me consistently. I tried to serve with integrity and honesty and I walk away knowing I never made any personal gains from the position. I did my service and Derby is a little better off than when I got here. If you are using an internet post or two and some jokes to discredit me, go ahead. But most people will see who the real snakes are. They are those who assassinate character because they have been marginalized or have fragile, impotent egos.
In all fairness, since you claim to be the more magnanimous of the blogs, please voluntarity publish your names and email addresses. I would be most interested in having a personal conversation with you about these personal attacks of yours. That is, if you aren’t afraid to go public wih the face(s) behind the venom. I have a feeling it won’t happen.
I was often turned off by the personal attack methods that this blog used. I was also upset by the other blog’s lapses into it as well. But the point is, that blog, at least had some great discussions and participation, while, except for me, this blog got neglected as much as the fine print on the declaration forms belonging to the ex-independent candidates.
And that happened because there was a grain of truth and honest dialogue over there. And sadly, there is only hatred and personal attacks on those who disagree here. This blog doesn’t want a dialogue, it wants agreement or death.
I hope that you may learn from this and if you are truly interested in running an open blog, you will welcome and consider opinions other than your own instead of becoming small-minded and slanderous. I wish you well and hope you may see the light of why this blog is a failure and the other was a success. I still want your email addresses so we can continue this important dialogue. Please forward them to the email address you published if you don’t have the courage of your convictions to post them here.

I’m glad this blog exposed the smallest city’s. I am not stating that Matt said anything that was particularly defamatory or malicious however, he knows that many people have done so. People who are affiliated with his politcal party and who have worked with him in politics. What is disgusting is that the moderator allowed some of the content that existed. “Useless” statements, defamatory lanuguage… won’t be tolerated. What BS that was. I can’t wait until the moderator is exposed and FYI, no one hacked into your site. I know of a few people who legally entered and obtained the information you so stupidly put out there. TSK, TSK on you for being so stupid.

Hey Naysayer, who are THESE moderators? Will they address any of the points in our posts instead of screaming and changing the topic? Will you?
